If there is anything that the parish can do to help you and your family during the difficult time of your loved one's burial and well into the future please do not hesitate to ask. This applies especially to financial assistance and bereavement counseling. May your loved one rest in peace and may the Good Lord strengthen your hearts and give tranquility to your souls.
If there is a relative or friend who would like to do a reading at the funeral, please discuss this with the presiding Priest at the wake or at another convenient time.
Eulogies are not part of the Roman Catholic funeral rite, however, if one family member would like to say a few words in honor of the deceased before the Closing Prayer of the Funeral Mass, this can be done in coordination with the presiding Priest.
